𝑳𝒆𝒔 𝑬𝒏𝒇𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒔 𝑷𝒆𝒓𝒅𝒖𝒔 - 𝑻𝒓𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑫𝒆𝒇𝒆𝒏𝒔𝒆 𝑰𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆 - Trident Defense Initiative was started in early 2022 shortly after the Russian invasion.

It was founded by "Roogie" who served as an infantryman with the Princess Wales Regiment from 2011 - 2015. Following his time in the British Army he then went to fight in Syria with the YPG in 2015 and then again from 2017 - 2018.

After his time there he would go to join the Ukrainian military and serve in the 1st Battalion, 36th Marine Brigade from 2019 - 2022. He had two combat rotations to the frontline area outside of Mariupol before the invasion.

Trident Defensive Initiative provides a wide array of courses (for free) to Ukrainian military units. Courses available for units include; Basic & Advanced Tactical / Infantry training, Combat Lifesaver Course, Basic Engineer Course, Team Medic Course, DJI Courses, FPV Courses and an IHL Course.

Some of the units who they’ve trained have been Border Police, Territorial Defense Forces, National Guard units, various military academies as well as the 56th Motorized Brigade.

To date the Trident Defense Initiative has had over 13,000 graduates in total from their training courses, all soldiers having to take and pass a final exam before receiving certification.

“The intent isn’t just training, the most primary thing is rehabilitation and confidence building for both newer guys and soldiers rotating off the zero line.”

“We don’t care about money, there’s no GoFundMe, we are primarily funded by a few private donors, we don’t need money, we need instructors. Training is our mission.”

“Ignorance is bliss,” he said, “come out and see it. You can see what’s really going on and see what we’re doing. There’s some good people out here doing great things and we have some amazing partners. Some people I’d shout out would be Norarm Tactical, International Aid Group and Military Kitchen
